He completed his internship in 1980 at the Staten Island Public Health Service Hospital in New York City and his residency in orthopedic surgery in 1984 at New York Medical College in Valhalla. Dr. Goss also completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics in 1985 at Cornell Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.

He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and a member of the Southern Orthopaedic Association, the Eastern Orthopaedic Association, and the South Georgia Medical Society (Lowndes County).

Dr. Goss is married to Carmina Goss, and they have seven children: Nicole, Erica, Lisa, Jaime, Victoria, Rachael, and Adam. He is a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Dr. Goss is an active motorcycle enthusiast, outdoorsman, and loves spending time playing with his children.
